Breathe… Smile

It’s silly, I have four or five posts started. Each great ideas and expressing so much, but just not complete.

Kinda sums up life right now.

The boys have been sick, the moments that have been mine (actually mine, not just those ones that are child free) few and far between. C’est la vie. That is my mantra these days, “that is life”. Truthfully, shit happens just as easily as the good stuff. Like all householders, there are meals to be made, rooms to be swept, and moments to be cherished. 

C’est la vie.

So is yoga. Every day: cat/cow, slow deep breathing, mantra, mudra (hand holding and secretly flipping off the toddler behind his back when crazy logic sets in totally counts), meditation, and those blissful moments. This is life. 

  
I wish I could say that these last few months of the year are going to be amazing, filled to the brim with laughter and fun. They will be fun and there will be laughter daily, but I’m longing for less filled to the brim these days. Fuller cup, slower days. Less activities, more time together. This is where my practice has led me, more of what matters (less everything else). 

C’est la vie leads me to taking a deep breath. Smiling. And remembering that all is as it should be. I hope you take a moment each day to remember that too!
