Love is love

on

Originally I had wanted to do a post about our travels, but honestly it seems more important to share and talk about love.

Raising babies makes it even harder for me to hear about the happenings in Orlando, mostly because someone’s baby died at the hands of someone else in the name of hate. Hate is strong, blinding. All you can see is the hate. But love. Love on the other hand is inclusive. Everywhere. In everyone. You just have to let go of the hate.

Sure we don’t like everything every one does, that’s ok! Just don’t lose any sleep over it. Send them some love (I wrote out the Metta meditation at the end of you need something to change your heart and view) and carry on. Making sure your words and thoughts are love based and not obsessed of what others are doing. I know one of the biggest things as a mama is watching what I say about other people around us. I am mindful when I get frustrated with others or myself that my words reflect only a moment of frustration and not talking down to others or myself. Because it always starts with us! We can all do little things to include others: like saying hi to our neighbor’s or helping some one who is in need. No one should feel left out when you come from a place of love.

How do you share the love?

xo,

Liz

Metta Meditation:

Repeat each phrase three times for each person. Make it a daily practice and see how amazing you feel.

May I be happy, may I be healthy, may I know peace.

Choosing a loved one:

May he/she be happy, may he/she be healthy, may he/she know peace.

Choosing someone you see but don’t really know:

May he/she be happy, may he/she be healthy, may he/she know peace.

Choosing someone you are at odds with or don’t like:

May he/she be happy, may he/she be healthy, may he/she know peace.

Choosing now your community:

May we all be happy, may we all be healthy, may we all know peace.

Choosing now the whole world:

May all being everywhere be happy, may all beings everywhere be healthy, may all beings everywhere know peace.

Can’t wait for you to give it a try!
