My Story

Blissful Betty originally began as a small Etsy shop where I sold the crochet items I made in my spare time. My Grandma Betty was the one who taught me to crochet and I really grew to love it. She was such a positive, loving, and cheerful soul, hence the inspiration for the name "Blissful Betty".

During Covid, I began experimenting with making sugar cookies and decorating with royal icing. It became my happy place and allowed me to flex my creative muscles as the world of musical theatre was at a pause. The more I experimented, the more I loved it, and the more techniques I learned. Before I knew it, friends and family began placing orders, so I kept the name and here we are! I couldn't be more grateful to everyone for their support!

While our design specialty is anything related to theatre, I can pretty much make anything you can think of into a cookie! Past designs have included sports, food, pop culture, music, logos, and more! Visit the Gallery to see a wide selection of past designs!

Blissful Betty's classic flavor is the buttery sugar cookie you know and love with just a hint of lemon for a bit of freshness in every bite. While our cookies are not gluten-free or vegan, I hope to offer these additional options to customers in the future!

I am constantly exploring new ways for Blissful Betty to connect with new customers in creative ways. The most recent addition is the Cookie Table! I come set up the table, sell the cookies at your event, and tear down with no assistance needed! Then your event/company/theatre receives 10% of the profits without lifting a finger! Great for musicals of all ages, but especially Theatre for Young Audiences, family shows, dance recitals and more!

Check out the Cookie Table page for more details!

(Coming soon, cookie bouquets!)
